Fall Hair Trends to FALL in Love With!

Fall trends are heating up as summer cools down. This year may be de ja vu for some because Fall 2018 is all about a head to toe flash back to the 80’s and 90’s.

From plaid, velvet and animal print, fashion has us having all kinds of Clueless flashbacks and as for hair, it’s all about accessories and effortless, yet chic styles. Because we love hair, we are breaking down the top looks that were spotted on the runways of Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2018. Each style will be sure to compliment any fashion statement you desire this Fall!

Fall Hair Accessories

It’s 2018 and designers have set trends across the globe, especially when it comes to hair accessories pulled straight out of your 80’s wardrobe. The claw clip, in a big way, is inspired by the simplicity of being able to pull your hair back without feeling so lady like.

It’s a new take on the powerful business woman. Multiple hair barrettes/pins will also become a staple to your fall wardrobe. They will be used to accessorize any style and headband.

Speaking of headbands: They are a great alternative to the days when your hair is past dry shampoo fixing it. ☺ We all know we face those days! Regardless of which style you try, all three will be taking over your Instagram feeds this fall. We found some affordable options of three Kitsch—our favorite hair accessory source for Claw Clips, Barrettes, and Head Bands.

Low Pony’s

Soft, polished, low ponytails are also a staple for fall. It’s a style that’s chic; yet, oh so effortless. To glam them up a bit and add a feminine touch add accessories like a velvet ribbon and pony tail cuffs. Chloe and Isabel have some great options for ponytail cuffs, and JCrew has the cutest velvet bow hair ties.

Middle Parts + Effortless Waves

The Vibe: Middle Part Madness

Center-parted, soft-waves are the most popular style for fall. It’s a style that has a soft hippy vibe and actually takes some inspiration from the 70’s. It was a look embraced for spring and summer but will take over every girl’s identity this fall.

The look is easy to recreate with a quick blow-dry and curling iron. The key to getting the look is not to over-curl the ends so you get a messy look with not as much volume. For added length, clip in Barely Xtensions.

Braids

Braids never go out of style. Every season we embrace them, and we love them! For fall it will be all about the “barely there” braids like we saw on Gigi Hadid at the Tommy Hilfiger Fall/Winter 2018 show. Wear your hair as usual but braid a few pieces here and there for hidden accents.

You also can try a braided updo—a simple solution for not washing your hair. Or go elegant with a Victorian inspired style using a fishtail half up half down style, adding a little ribbon detail to dress it up a bit. For all three looks, you add extensions to enhance the style!

Messy Buns

There is nothing a bun can’t fix! It also might be every lazy girl’s best friend! Thankfully it’s catwalk approved style that is gracing the runway on several different occasions for Fall/Winter.

You can switch up the look by doing a messy topknot—more of a chignon—or take it back to the 90’s with the halfway pulled through pony. Either way it’s an effortless, purposefully messy “updo” that’s equal parts cool and chic!

Whether you’ll be rocking hair accessories, styling with braids or a messy bun, be sure to check out Barely Xtensions to enhance your look effortlessly!
